How to Repurpose One Piece of Content Five Different Ways
You don’t need more ideas. You need more mileage out of the good ones you already have.
If you’re a Catholic business or mission-minded brand creating original content every single day from scratch, you’re going to burn out or worse, go silent. And silence doesn’t spread your mission.
The secret? Repurposing.
Here’s how to take one piece of content and turn it into five strong deliverables—without sounding like a broken record.
1. Turn a Blog Post into a Social Media Carousel
Take the key takeaways or steps from your blog post and turn them into a scrollable Instagram carousel or LinkedIn post. Break each main point into its own slide. Add your brand colors, include a CTA, and voilà—you’ve got a value-packed visual.
Bonus tip: Link back to the original blog post in your caption or bio to drive traffic.
2. Use Your Captions as Email Content
You know those thoughtful captions you write for Instagram? Don’t let them live and die there. With a quick intro and a clear subject line, that content can easily become an email. For many of our clients, the highest open rates come from short, story-based messages originally written as social captions.
3. Pull a Quote and Design a Graphic
Found a zinger of a line in your blog or podcast? Isolate it and turn it into a bold visual quote graphic. These are quick to digest, highly shareable, and great for Pinterest or Instagram Stories.
Pro tip: Stack 3–4 of these in your content calendar across a week.
4. Film a Quick Video With the Core Message
That “How To” blog post you wrote? Open your camera and share the same points verbally in a Reel or TikTok. No fancy gear needed—just your face, your voice, and your authority. Remember: you are the expert. Let people see that.
5. Record a Podcast or Audio Clip
If you’re already writing, you’re halfway to scripting a podcast. Summarize your blog post or caption as a 3–5 minute voice note or mini episode. These work especially well for spiritual reflections, tips, or how-to content that could benefit from a little more depth.
You don’t need to be everywhere, all the time, with brand-new content. You need a system that maximizes what you already do well. Repurposing is what allows Catholic brands to stay consistent, on-message, and mission-minded without hiring a 10-person content team.
Challenge for today: Choose one post you’ve already created and turn it into two more pieces of content. Watch how far one good idea can take you.
